Who can use Lupin

Minors must obtain consent from a parent or guardian before using Lupin. Depending on your region, age and parental consent requirements may also apply to consent for sending information.

Materials and rights

Import only content you are entitled to use, and respect copyright, privacy and the publisher's terms. Subscribing to or downloading a podcast, or transcribing or translating content, does not transfer rights in the original content to you or Lupin. Before sharing text with external AI services or other recipients, check that you have permission to share it.

Do not use or share content in violation of law or third-party rights, gain unauthorized access, or disrupt the app or publishers through excessive load.

Playback and generated content

Supported playback formats and the availability of transcription and translation depend on your device, OS, language, connection and the publisher's services. Playback and processing of all content are not guaranteed.

Transcriptions, translations, dictionaries and external AI responses may contain errors. Check important information against the original audio or text and reliable sources. Lupin does not guarantee any particular learning outcome.

Pricing

Lupin is currently free to use and does not offer in-app purchases or paid subscriptions.

Paid plans, including subscriptions, may be offered in the future. If introduced, the features, price, subscription period, automatic renewal and cancellation conditions will be explained before purchase.

Joining a paid plan requires a purchase by the user. Using the app alone does not enroll you in a paid plan.

External services and beta features

Podcast delivery, Apple's speech recognition and translation, external AI services and other services are subject to their providers' conditions. Changes, discontinuation or connection issues may make some features unavailable. Connection costs depend on your telecommunications contract.

The appearance and availability of features marked as beta may change.

Storage and deletion

iCloud sync is available after you review the explanation and enable it. Audio and video files are not synced. Sync may take time depending on your connection and iCloud. Turning sync off does not delete learning data on your device or in iCloud. Enabling it again merges the data.

Keep any original files you need. Device failure, deletion, or changes to the OS or publisher's services may make stored data unavailable.

Deleting data in the app may also delete associated data. Check the operation and confirmation screens for the scope and consequences. The Privacy Policy describes storage, external transfers, usage analytics and diagnostics.

App license

Apple's Standard EULA applies to the Lupin app obtained from the App Store. These terms govern use of the Lupin service and do not replace that EULA. Open-source software is governed by its respective licenses.

Changes and discontinuation

We may change or discontinue features or conditions for reasonable reasons, including improvements or changes in law, external services or the technical environment. Where practical, we will announce significant changes or discontinuation and their timing in advance. Emergencies or the discontinuation of external services may prevent advance notice.

Changes to these terms will be accompanied by notices or consent requests as needed for the changes, their effective date and applicable law.

Your rights

These terms do not exclude rights protected by law or the operator's liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence. The existence and extent of liability are determined by applicable law.
